     Per the decisions of the HGCF Board the following amendments are made to the Mission Statement and the content of the Logo.

1. The Mission Statement is amended to read:

“The Haddis Girma Continuity Forum (HGCF) is committed to the well-being of youth, families 

and adults of Ethiopian origin and beyond. Our core mission is to work with individuals of all 

ages to develop a supportive community which fosters strong families, personal empowerment, 

mutual responsibility, cultural pride, inter-generational connections, and positive mental health. 

The Forum works to model and transfer the values of community service, academic excellence, 

sportsmanship, and social relationships through a variety of programs, forums, classes, 

workshops, events, athletic tournaments, scholarships, support groups, and activities geared to 

engage youth and adults. The organization is committed to ensuring special attention, services, 

and supports for community members who articulate or demonstrate struggles 

with depression, social isolation, and other similar mental health challenges. The Forum will 

play a mental health advocacy role to prevent suicide in the Ethiopian community across 

Massachusetts.” 

 

2. The entire design of the HGCF logo remaining the same, the content underneath the logo is slightly changed from “Haddis Girma Continuity Foundation” to “Haddis Girma Continuity Forum”.
